About Me

I am a passionate advocate for children in crisis.  I have spent my career championing the needs of vulnerable populations including children, women, trafficked persons, survivors of war torture, asylum seekers and the HIV-infected. I have done this work as a member of senior management at Safe Horizon (New York, New York), the Illinois Violence Prevention Authority (Chicago, Illinois) and Columbia Presbyterian Hospital (New York, New York). I received my MS in Health & Social Behavior/Women’s Health from the Harvard School of Public Health and a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan.
